Always Selling 🤔

Was watching author Daniel Pink’s Masterclass promo the other day and kinda like an old Tony Robbins infomercial, the dude immediately sucked me in…

Pink was explaining that no matter what we do in life, we are all in sales… 

Whether we are a parent, a teacher or we happen to be in the actual sales industry, we are constantly living a life that is predicated around “persuasion and motivation.”

This got me thinking a bit because as much as I like to pimp out my #TeamGoHard Foot Reflexology Board and the upcoming Daily Hustle 22 Day Challenge and the launch of No Filter Network, I’ve never considered myself as any sort of salesman… 

Yet the more I meditate on my life and what Pink was saying, I truly believe he’s onto something BIG… The reality, whether we like it or not, is that if we are doing it right, we are constantly selling without even realizing it.

We are selling ourselves as parents, selling ourselves as friends, selling ourselves as teammates and selling ourselves as mates… 

We are selling our beliefs, selling our doubts, selling our fears, selling our hopes, selling our dreams and selling our lifestyles…

Ultimately, each and every single day we are selling our character to the world and the first buyer that we greet each and every single morning is the one person we need to persuade in order to be successful… If we are unable to sell to this one dude we won’t be able to sell to anyone and put simply… We are fucked! 

“Who’s the buyer, who’s the buyer Professor EB????” 

Well good morning Mr. SuperSoft… 

When we as individuals are actually able to buy the things that we are selling, persuasion, motivation & success will inevitably follow… 

When we sell things that are authentic to who we are and what we believe, our influence on others will be so positive and infectious that we will have no idea we are even selling… 

Stevie, the problem is that you don’t buy the shit that you try to hawk to others.  You know you are a fraud and when you can’t convince yourself to buy what you are selling, you will have absolutely zero chance to convince others…

“Professor EB, then how do I convince myself to buy what I am selling?” 

Ha! That’s the golden question Stevie… You convince yourself with your actions. You convince yourself by establishing a routine and consistently putting in the work. You convince yourself by getting your lazy ass off of Fortnight and the 3 foot bong you take massive rips off all day. You convince yourself by building your character through selfless deeds and hard charging experiences…

Selling ain’t always easy Stevie, but the good news is that so long as you get your number one customer to buy in each morning, you won’t ever have to sell a day in your life…
