Does it matter whose fault it is? 🤷‍♂️

A lot of shit happens in our life, and immediately, we want to know whose fault it is…

We as human beings have an overwhelming desire to know exactly what happened, why it happened, and who is to blame.

Possibly, when we can identify a scapegoat, we feel much better about ourselves because we have freed ourselves of all responsibility and accountability for what may have happened.

Looking back to yesterday’s Daily Hustle, of course, I blamed Billy Beane and Dan O’Dowd for trading me, and then I blamed Baltimore Orioles ownership for firing Lee Mazzilli, which inevitably caused my tailspin which led to me getting released…

On the surface, this was easy to justify and made me feel better about myself and my horse shit performance… Yet, the reality was that none of these people were to blame for my performance… Sure, I encountered some challenging circumstances in a short period of time that may have had an effect on my productivity, but if it’s anyone’s fault, it’s mine.

Regardless, even if we can make a case to cast blame on somebody else, it does us absolutely zero good. Besides running away from any sort of accountability, all we will be doing is holding on to anger that continues to suck time and energy from us…

Oh yea, they just so happen to be the two most precious resources we possess.

Bottom line, let’s not care about who is to blame because, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter one fucking bit whose fault it is…

The only thing that matters is how we react going FORWARD. 👊
