EARN Your Trust

Have you ever wondered what Voltaire, Mozart, Simon Bolivar, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt and 14 other US Presidents have in common with Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, Henry Ford, Winston Churchill, Mark Twain, CY Young, John Wayne and Jesse Jackson???

Yes of course they were all savages of their industries but the bond can actually be tied back to the world’s oldest & largest fraternity…

THE FREEMASONS 😱

For those who are unfamiliar with the history of Freemasonry, strap on a seat belt because you are in for a helluva Daily Hustle ride…

We can trace the creation of the Freemasons all the way back to 14th century Europe, where the group was conceived to regulate the credentials of the stonemasons and their dealings with different clients and ruling officials.

Freemasonry is focused on self improvement for the greater good of society and teaches moral, intellectual, and spiritual lessons through three initiation ceremonies that are considered “degrees” modeled after a craftsman’s progress…

  1. Apprentice
  2. Fellowcraft
  3. Master Mason

In order to increase membership and raise funds during the rise of capitalism, the Freemasons expanded member opportunities to wealthy individuals with high social stature and perceived rock solid character…

Just as Freemasonry loves to describe itself as a “beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols”.

The group dramatically evolved from the old guild days and constructed a strong presence throughout all of Europe by adding politicians, engineers, scientists, writers, inventors & philosophers into the Freemason society.

Freemasonry made its way to the United States by the early 18th century and although Freemason are supposed to remain politically neutral, they undoubtedly had a huge influence on both the American & French Revolutions…

George Washington was just 20 years old when he began the 3 degree initiation process into the Mason’s and in 1793, Washington ceremoniously laid the cornerstone of the US Capitol building, which began the development of an entire city inspired by Masonic symbols & signs.

How much we actually know about the Freemasons, their symbols, rituals & overall influence on the world is actually quite small and limited by what I believe to be the Mason’s greatest attribute…

EARNED TRUST.

We do know that as Freemasons progress through their initiation degrees, they are sworn to secrecy on several fronts and earn the trust of their “brothers” by keeping all of their newfound knowledge and wisdom private.

By proving we can be trusted with small things, then, without any words needing to be said, we make a statement that declares we can be trusted with BIG things…

In life, just as in the world’s largest fraternity, trust isn’t something that is just handed out, it’s something that is EARNED.
