We all want our kids to be the next big league star or Olympic athlete…
Wouldn’t it be great for them to be the next great actor or musician?
Skill, fortune and fame all sound like things we would want for those who are most important to us… Right 🤷♂️
Sort of…
Skill, fortune and fame are great attributes to possess…
The skill will allow us to be masters at our craft, the fortune will allow us the liberties to share the wealth with family, friends and those less financially fortunate, and the fame will offer us a platform to reach the masses in which our message will be able to be heard.
Unfortunately, all three often come with a price…
Skill is an attribute that often leads to arrogance, fortune is something that can be used for all the WRONG reasons, and fame is definitely a double-edged sword that, if not careful, will stab us in the heart and bring us to our knees wondering how and why the world is conspiring against us…
Yes, skill, fortune and fame are often byproducts of a relentless work ethic and supreme confidence developed through the work…
Yet, we need to be extremely cautious of all three and understand that skill, fortune and fame will be short lived and grossly ABUSED if we are unable to implement true sustainable values that will forever remain within our control regardless of circumstance.
So before we get ourselves into a difficult situation where we have to pay a STEEP price for the (SFF) skill, fortune & fame, let’s make sure we properly implement 3 attributes that won’t ever cost you a single dime yet will be the most valuable traits we can ever possess…
(IHG)
Integrity
Humility
Gratitude
I like to call them the Free Three, and they are the foundation pillars that give us the base to properly handle all else the world will bestow upon us…
With honorably humble thanks!
