Was on a 10-mile banger a couple weeks ago with all sorts of things running through my mind…
As family, work, and Let Them Play baseball team thoughts infiltrated my cranium, a song came on that all of a sudden put things into a beautiful perspective…
“I got a million reasons why I should give it up and go but I don’t care what the world is bringing… I’m going to keep on swinging.”
Life can be a bit much and difficult to handle at times… There are so many reasons to give up, yet life’s not supposed to be easy and as a matter of fact, it’s the challenging times that ultimately build our character to an entirely new level…
When we accept the world’s offerings for all of their worth and keep swinging the gosh damn bat, we will inevitably make contact and eventually hit the ball out of the park.
“Another day at the office, another season of scars… Life can sure make it easy to just pack up & walk… But I got a fire in my heart & a crazy man’s grin and I won’t stop caring if I lose or if I win… I just keep on swinging.”
When we attack life with a passion, energy and relentless “I don’t give a fuck” attitude, we put ourselves in a position to get the absolute most out of our abilities and life in general…
“The phone keeps ringing, the bees keep stinging, the fat lady that girl never stops singing but still I keep on swinging!!!”
So long as we keep charging we will continue to be presented opportunities, and we will also be stung by people that do everything in their power to hold us down… Just because others say it’s over, it doesn’t mean we have to stop playing the game…
“I’m throwing darts in the wind just to see what the wind brings… You might leave me in ruins or you might crown me your king… Or whatever the reason, it don’t mean a thing… Just keep on singing away!!!”
If we want to be successful in life, we need to be willing to throw shit into the wind and see which way it flies… There will always be people that want to see us fail and there will also be people that want the absolute best for us… Regardless, we have no control of these outsiders’ perceptions and desires, so let’s just make sure to KEEP ON SWINGING!!!!
