Think about how we feel during and after exercise…
Alive, beastly, creative, dialed, efficient, focused, GOOD, humorous, intent, joyful, kind, loving, merry, non-conformist, optimal, persistent, quacky, resilient, stoic, transformative, understanding, viscous, winning, X factor, youthful, zany…
There’s 26 words (one for every gosh damn letter of the alphabet) that describes the beautiful sensations we experience through exercise.
Plain & simple, human beings are inherent hunter and gatherers that were created to move.
Several studies have now shown a direct correlation between exercise and increased brain activity, and trust me, this shit isn’t rocket science. Basic brain scans have proved what we have known for an eternity… The mind and the body are interconnected and without properly training the body, we will never optimize the brain’s potential…
The Problem:
The traditional Western approach has always been that more is better… More time reading, more time solving equations, more time studying and more time working will produce better results…
Bullshit.
Overtraining in these areas will lead to decreased focus and increased hyperactivity. Our goal should be to reach optimal production as human beings, and without regular physical activity, this will never happen.
Human Crash Test Dummy Solution:
Don’t ask me… Let’s ask Plato:
“In order for man to succeed in life, God provided him with two means, education and physical activity. Not separately, one for the soul and the other for the body, but for the two together. With these two means, man can attain perfection.”
Nearly 2000 years later, these words have never rang so TRUE.
Go Hard Task:
Each and every single day going forward, create an environment and partake in activities that integrate movement with intellectual challenges. The only way to optimize our mind’s capabilities is to stimulate brain activity by getting off our ASS.
