It’s not for them…

“We all love ourselves more than other people, but care about their opinion more than our own.”

-Marcus Aurelius

A few months ago, for whatever reason, the social media algorithms changed and they have definitely had a negative effect on the amount of impressions and likes that a normal post would get…

Perturbed and frustrated with the lack of circulation of what I consider good content with great value, I felt like we were wasting our time because it seemed like we were reaching fewer and fewer people with each post.

Look, by no means have I ever sat around obsessing over impressions or likes, but we all like to feel we are progressing forward no matter what we do in life…

The question then becomes what are we going to do when we get negative returns? 🤷‍♂️

We can pack our shit up, take our ball and go home…

That’s one solution.

The other solution is to understand that there are certain things that are outside of our control and we must stay committed to the process of execution… Part of which always involves taking an internal inventory to figure out what sort of changes we possibly need to make in an ever-changing world.

A couple weeks ago when the Bruce Lee “Then Die…” Daily Hustle came out, it BOMBED on social media. There were very few engagements and it definitely shocked me a bit. The message was GOLD, and we felt like many people should have been able to relate to the message of getting over our self-imposed fears that very rarely if ever come to fruition.

Ironically, that very same morning. my phone became FLOODED with text messages and return emails proving to us how the Bruce Lee message really resonated with a shit ton of people.

It’s those days that remind me I am not writing these things or doing the Daily Hustle podcast for the unengaged masses of people that don’t give two f*cks… I am writing them for the individuals looking to make a positive difference in their lives and in this world… I am writing them for the core GO HARDS that are part of this incredible TRIBE that don’t follow the masses, but instead follow authentic messages and authentic ACTION…

I am writing them for those who just don’t read or talk about making an impact…

They f*cking DO IT.
