How those resolutions doing? 🤷‍♂️

New Year’s Resolutions are a crock of shit…

We somehow think that the moment the clock strikes 12 on Dec 31st we are just going to transform into hard working, gym-going, diet following, spiritual warrior Yogi’s that of course are super generous, social sober men & women that love all people…

Then… A few days, weeks or (if we are lucky) months later, the resolution is DONE & we end up beating ourselves up over failing at something we had no chance to achieve in the first place.

Don’t get me wrong… New Years is a great chance to look back and reflect upon our experiences over the past 12 months. We are not looking to recreate the good times and we have no intentions to dwell upon the bad. The reflection is just a simple way to hold ourselves accountable to one question… Did we authentically live our lives?

Yet, the reality is that in order to get the true answer to that question, we must answer it daily, not yearly…

LIFE is not lived in years; LIFE is lived in moments…

Ultimately, it’s our commitment to each moment that will enable us to optimize our current lifestyle.

If there is a change that we want to implement in our lives, that change cannot be a dramatic, impulsive reaction to societal and inner demon pressures. That change must become a baby-step process which slowly becomes part of the foundation of who we are and how we live our lives…

Bottom line is pretty simple:

Resolutions don’t last, lifestyles do

LIVE IT
