We talk all the time about the importance of ACTION here in the Daily Hustle but what happens when our action is impeded?
How are we supposed to continue to MOVE when we face a roadblock or run into a dead end…
On the Let Them Play Triathlon Across America, we were in Fallon, Nevada and trying to make our way to Salt Lake City.
Kowalski and I thought we found a shortcut but somehow ended up cycling onto a gravel road and then we were finally blocked by a barbed-wire fence with a posted “DEAD END” sign…
Basically, we hit a naval base and had no choice but to navigate a new route.
We continued the excursion by backtracking on the gravel road and then found a dirt road heading northeast, the direction we wanted to go, so despite the girl’s objection, we took it…
Tarah & Alyssa (Kowalski’s much better half) we’re following us in the van and shaking their heads the entire time… This segment is well documented in the LTP documentary. 😅
Eventually, a truck came out of nowhere and a dude with aviators and a top gun jumpsuit, call sign Northpaw, got out and said…
“Byrnesie!!! I saw your post on IG story time… Follow me. I’ll show you guys the way out.”
Northpaw then led us to a shortcut back to the main road and we were back on track once again, miles ahead of where we thought even the original shortcut would take us…
So what’s my point to the story?
We are all going to run into dead ends in life but absolutely nothing can stop our “intentions and dispositions.” So long as we continue to adapt and adjust according to our circumstances, we will be able to move FORWARD…
Plus, there is always a chance Northpaw will show up and lead us the right direction. 👊
