This could save your life…

While listening to The Happiness Advantage, author Shawn Achor brought up one specific thing that has as much of an impact on life expectancy as smoking, high blood pressure, obesity and regular physical activity…

“Oh I know, I know!!!” 🙋‍♂️

Yes, Mr. SuperSoft, please enlighten us…

“The one thing that has that great of an impact on life expectancy has got to be the beautiful combo pack of cocaine and hookers… Obviously you know I like to spend some quality hours in the brothels and I do dabble in the booger sugar a bit, but even I can tell I am not necessarily adding any years to my life by indulging in quick highs and hollow relationships.”

Very good Mr. SuperSoft, you are definitely making progress… Acknowledgment of your vices and their potential harm is the first step to progressing forward. Although we commend you for bringing up a few activities that may shorten life expectancy, neither the hookers nor blow was where we were going with this…

Any other guesses?

Yes, Mr. Savage…

“Well Professor EB, it has actually been said that social bonds and relationships could be the number one factor in determining not only life expectancy, but career achievement, occupational success and overall level of income as well!”

Boom.💥

Very good Sammy… Our ability to build and maintain relationships has been proven to give us LIFE and very well may determine how long we physically will grace this earth…

Knowing this, the exact same way we choose not to fire down an entire pack of Marlboro Reds or we make the decision to knock out hours of exercise each week, we must consciously decide to put quality time into strengthening our social connections. Not only is there a psychological benefit to these bonds but there is a HUGE physiological one as well…

Bottom line… Stay social, it could save your life ❤️
