Sleep Well 😴

Was lying in bed the other night staring at the ceiling thinking about all of the things that awaited my attention the following day… 

Between being a loyal Daily Hustle blogger/podcaster, a tech startup humble servant, a parent and youth baseball coach who just so happens to be in constant training and pursuit of the next over the top endurance challenge, time is often a finite resource and the management and efficient use of that time is critical.

That brings us back to the bedroom where my head was spinning while I was wide awake with life’s sugar plums manically dancing in my head… 

It felt as if there were 1000 things I needed to take care of but I was so scattered with my thoughts, it was difficult to focus on any of them for more than 2 seconds before another thought began knocking on the front door of my cranium… 

I finally sat up in bed, grabbed my phone and simply began unloading EVERYTHING from my mind into the notes section of my iPhone… 

15 minutes later I had a very organized and structured list of shit to get done but more importantly, I put my head back on the pillow, closed my eyes and was out within seconds.

When we are able to figure out a way to organize the mechanism, then we will figure out a way to clear it… 

Sure, most of us have a lot going on in our lives, and we regularly become overwhelmed by seemingly biting off way more than we can chew and often will lose sleep because of our perceived over indulgence in life’s offerings… 

Yet the reality is that with the proper routines and structure in place as well as late night mind clearing techniques, we will be able to put our heads on the pillow at night knowing a hard charging, efficient and effective day lies ahead… 

Sleep well. 😴
