There is one thing in life we are all looking for, yet I’m not sure if even half of us have any f*ing clue what it is…
“Oh I know, I know!!!”
Low & behold, Stevie SuperSoft…
“This is easy Professor EB, we are all looking for money and fame of course…”
As much of a luxury that money and fame can be at times, both are fleeting and often way too dependent on things outside of our control… If our happiness is relying on material things and the shallow judgmental opinions of superficial people we don’t know, at one point or another, we will be screwed.
Any more guesses…
“Me, Me, Me…”
Ok Stevie, I’ll give you another shot.
“Well Professor EB, we are all looking for safety and comfort, aren’t we?”
Much better guess Stevie, safety, and comfort are things that most people are looking for, but we need to remember there are sickos like Kowalski out there that thrive off of risk and vulnerability. As much as safety and comfort seem like something that everybody would want, that is not necessarily the case…
Any more guesses?
How bout you, Sammy Savage?
“Professor EB, I can’t speak for everybody else, but the one thing I know I am constantly chasing is SUSTAINED ENERGY.”
Very good Mr. SAVAGE.
From the time we wake up in the morning until the time we lay our heads on the pillow at night, we should be looking to do things in our life that give us the fuel to keep charging…
Meditation, foot reflexology, butter coffee, workouts and the Daily Hustle are just a few of the things that will help lead us in the right direction.
When we are able to live our lives with consistent enthusiasm and effort throughout the day, EVERYTHING in our lives might not all of a sudden get better, but I sure as shit will guarantee you that everything will seem better.
Life, as we know it, has been and always will be about perspective, and in order to maintain the healthiest and most optimistic perspective, we must figure out ways to sustain the energy.
And oh yea…
Stevie, as much as you may think this is an excuse for you to snort mounds of cocaine, remember that we are talking about SUSTAINED energy, not 30-minute fleeting highs that come with diminishing detrimental returns.
We all will find sustained energy in different ways, but the key is to make sure we find our ways..
For some, it may be the mental stimulation of a good book, eating healthy or riding the high of the increased blood flow from a hard-charging workout… Regardless, we need to figure out what works for us and then make it part of our daily routine.
Here is my full Daily F*IT List that holds me accountable to the sustained energy process:
Like anything else in life we are ALL looking for, energy is not free.
It’s EARNED and it’s up to us to GO GET IT.
