Recently received an article from an avid Daily Hustler about something that we have all struggled with in our lives at one time or another…
TRUST.
When we are infants, we have an infinite amount of trust in everything, then as we go through our adolescence and grow into adulthood, we incrementally begin to lose faith one distrusting experience at a time…
As we approach middle age with a slew of experiences under our belt and knowledge gained from those experiences, wisdom becomes immediately available for us to apply to the attitudes and actions of our daily lives…
Just like everybody, I have endured several events in my life that would give me great reason to have enormous amounts of distrust in several different arenas and circles of my life.
Yet, maybe it’s just me being a naive optimist but if you ask me, “Would you say that most people can be trusted or that you cannot be too careful?” I would answer emphatically that most people can be trusted…
Shockingly only 37% of people asked the same question responded with the same answer. 58% said, “You can’t be too careful” and 5% were undecided…
So… Why should you trust me or why should I trust you?
Well, figuring that this study was conducted over many years, they have been able to draw the conclusion that of the 24,000 people that were surveyed and followed, men can be trusted more than women, older and married people are more optimistic, and the people who “trusted most people” statistically live longer lives…
Ultimately the study stated: “There is a clear survival advantage for those who trust strangers.”
Bottom line – Trust me, it’s good for your health. 👍
