Who we listening to?

“You must linger among a limited number of master thinkers, and digest their works,
if you would derive ideas which shall win firm hold in your mind.”
– Seneca – Daily Stoic

Throughout the course of our lives, we will come across certain people that have our ear so to speak…

These are the individuals who have EARNED the right to have us listen to what they have to say.

Oftentimes, it’s this person’s shared knowledge and experiences that prompt us to take action in our own lives.

This could be your parents, guardian, teacher or coach that you have very close personal relationships with, yet this could also be somebody that you simply admire the way they seemingly go about living their lives.

For instance, I have never met David Goggins, but this dude just seems to be speaking to me…

In a world that is inundated with self-help gurus that haven’t done a fucking thing in their lives, not only does Goggins talk the straight authentic tough love no bullshit talk, but he continues to walk the walk.

Like all of us, Goggins is a flawed human but continues to hold himself accountable to his words and actions…

Goggins had an incredibly tough upbringing and countless physical ailments that have served as gigantic obstacles in his life, yet he has figured out a way to persevere no matter what his situation or circumstances are…

Despite being over 300 pounds at one time, Goggins became a Navy Seal, an Army Ranger and since has ventured into the ultra-endurance world completing some of the most difficult physical and mental challenges on earth.

Because of his recent book, Can’t Hurt Me and a growing HUGE social media presence, David Goggins has become somewhat of a household name, especially in the motivational world… What makes Goggins so appealing is that not only has he accomplished a shit ton of things in his life, but he continues to CHARGE & inspire with his words and ACTIONS on a daily basis.

There are only so many people that we can let into our inner circle of influence without diluting the impact of the overall messages… Let’s make sure we are listening to the ones that don’t just tell us how to live our lives, they fucking show us.

And as our main dude DG likes to say…
